Job Title: Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Job description: Our client in Freight Management and Logistics industry is currently looking for a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor, in Durban, Kwa – Zulu Natal.Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate shift picking activities.
- Ensure that all orders are picked, staged, and cleaned for next-day delivery by end of nightshift.
- Troubleshoot on Streamline when stock discrepancies are experienced.
- Ensure that all pickers and drivers are productive.
- Report on shift warehouse activities.
- Monitor and report on stock damages found during picking, put away, and internal moves.
- Communicate with MHE service providers to ensure MHE is serviced and repaired timeously.
- Communicate with labor brokers on the requirements for the shift.
- Manage special tasks requested by clients.
- Ensure that the warehouse is locked at the end of the shift.
- Transport staff home and to arrange transport for staff not on the usual route.
- Manage replacements and staff discipline.
- Ensure all the equipment is kept clean and maintained in the warehouse.
- Manage the warehouse environment in terms of housekeeping and safety.
- Carry out coaching, training, and leading of work teams.
Requirements:
- NQF Level 6.
- Valid Driver license.
- Own Transport.
- Sound knowledge of all warehouse operations.
- 3 years supervisory experience.
- Familiar with the progressive discipline process.
- Must be open to working the evening shift (15:00 – 23:30)
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills Supervisory skills.
- Must be able to work independently and carry out day-to-day tasks un-supervised.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and solve.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (Streamline knowledge is advantageous)
- Microsoft Excel.
- Strong Customer service approach.
- Understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Communicating effectively with the management team of issues, progress, and updates.
Remuneration:
- R18 000 – R24 000 per month.
Expected salary: R18000 – 24000 per month
