- Lead and manage the Logistics Department, overseeing all deliveries, despatching, and personnel.
- Plan, organize, and document delivery schedules, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with production to meet customer requirements and delivery dates.
- Manage the entire fleet, including multiple vehicles and third-party transport services.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and road traffic regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, delivery schedules, and fuel consumption.
- Conduct fault-finding inspections and oversee weekly and monthly stock takes.
- Act as a contingency for the Logistics Administrator, fulfilling duties as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Health and Safety and Production Planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in a logistics leadership role.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Pastel Accounting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of HACCP and BRC standards is a plus.
