Job description: Responsible for supervising certain areas within the distribution centre, which includes overseeing staff, inventory and operational & administrative systems and controls.Requirements
- NQF 5 or equivalent
- 4 years related experience (Logistics & DC)
- Intermediate MS Office skills and WMS and Blue Yonder experience
- Code 08 Drivers licence
Responsibilities:
- Forecasting and planning of resources requirements (people and equipment).
- Forecast and planning of warehousing space allocations requirements to support DC throughput growth.
- Forecast and planning of Service Provider (3PL) requirement to support DC throughput growth.
- Initiation and execution of DC resources optimization initiative.
- Optimising warehousing operations (materials Handling).
- Continuous evaluation of distribution processes and identification of opportunities for improvement.
- Execution of policies and standards pertaining to materials handling and ensuring compliance to safety standards.
- Set performance expectations provide guidance and foster a collaborative and high performing team culture.
- Maintain internal and external stakeholder relations.
- Responsible for relationship management with stakeholders and ensures adherence to service level agreement.
- Leveraging advanced system technologies to enhance the efficiency of the DC.
- Monitoring of system service provider support.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and executing inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.
