About the Job:
We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Debt Collector / Collections Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of 1300-1500 debtors. Our work structure comprises small, driven teams, and each team works in unison with a team leader to achieve clearly defined goals. It is important to note that this position is not based in a call center. Instead, you will be equipped with various tools to facilitate communication with debtors—these include phone calls, emails, SMSs, and WhatsApp, all executed from our office.
Our approach involves prescribed procedures, templates, and methods designed to optimize the effectiveness of our Collectors, helping them to meet their monthly collection targets. Our collectors are supported by our adept Legal, Accounts, and Tracing departments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with new debtors as well as address existing debtor queries.
- Maintain regular contact with debtors within your portfolio, ensuring timely debt collections.
- Follow up on missed payments.
- Keep meticulous and up-to-date records of all interactions and collections activities.

Educational Background and Experience:
- Minimum Requirement: Completion of matric (Grade 12).
- Preferred Experience: At least three years in a debt collection role, ideally in a non-call center environment.
Package & Remuneration:
- Base Salary: Our starting monthly salary is R6000, commensurate with experience, and can go up to R12000.
