Job description: Job Summary MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:Responsible for ensuring that all operations on shift/site are conducted in accordance with Company and
Customer’s standards and requirements; maintain and improve Quality Standards on shift/site; monitor all
staff on shift, including all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment, discipline, and productivity; ensure
continual operational improvements in all designated areas.
Required to perform any task not specified above as and when required by management.Key Responsibility Areas:Supervise Site operations.
- Supervise yard and office staff and ensure good discipline.
- Responsible for Operational activities on site, report all deviations to Operations Manager.
- Monitor and report on site Productivity and ensure that all areas work productively and meet their daily targets.
Ensure Compliance of Company and Client Standards:
- Ensure that all units are stored and parked in accordance with the Clients and Company Quality and Safety Standards.
- Ensure that the correct processes and procedures are implemented and adhered to ensure cycle work.
- Ensure continuous process improvement to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
- Ensure parking plan for CBU units is issued to all relevant supervisor prior to CBUS arriving.
- Ensure PPO Daily FIFO parking is board is updated and all drivers are notified daily in pre-shifts on parking plan.
Monitor KPIs:
- Monitor KPI performance and ensure that operational targets are achieved in line with Customer requirements.
- Adhere to hourly monitoring and tracking of operational processes and report any deviations.
- Andon board to be viewed every hour to make sure intakes are managed and that there are no aging units.
Safety:
- ➢ Ensure all employees are trained in accordance with the standard level required to
- operate/handle a unit in yard.
- ➢ Ensure all Accident/incidents are investigated and key focus on prevention of reoccurrence.
- ➢ Focus on Risk Areas and ensure all employees are aware as per Risk Map.
- ➢ Attend SHEQ meetings and assist with controlling and monitoring of all aspects of SHEQ
- awareness.
- ➢ Complete,record and report on all accidents and incidents to relevant tole players.
- ➢ Strong focus on Work Habits to reduce risks to Team Member.
- ➢ Ensure 5S principles applied in workplace.
- ➢ Ensure SHEQ internal audit plan dates are communicated to SHEQ Co-Ordinator and all
- departments are always ISO ready.
- ➢ PPO tracking document is audited daily.
- 5. Quality
- ➢ Ensure process quality adherence in supply chain to maintain KPI.
- ➢ Ensure all quality gates are equipped with the required resources.
- ➢ Conduct regular audits on staff to ensure yard standard quality is maintained (VDQI) and
- maintained. (5S)
- ➢ Ensure 100% accurate Scanning activities on SAP and V-Motionmaintaining stock accuracy.
- ➢ Monitor Exception Reports as well as conduct Yard Bay Verification Audits daily and update VMotion with deviations.
- Ensure when pulling K-sheets that the verification scanner is used, and staff are trained accordingly.
Delivery:
- Achieve daily Export Vessel, Staging and PPO plans and escalate any deviations.
- Ensure TP180 runs optimally to prevent backlog and impact on Plant Production and escalate any deviations.
- Monitor and Co-ordinate aging units ensuring delivery KPI is achieved.
- Ensure that daily KPls are updated by end of shift.
- Ensure effective hand over are done and distributed with accurate information by close of business daily
