Job description: Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, managing store operations, and leading a motivated team to achieve business goals. This role requires a strong leader who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering an exceptional retail experience.Key Responsibilities: * Team Leadership & Staff Management:
- Hire, train, and develop store associates to ensure they provide excellent customer service.
- Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews for staff.
- Manage employee schedules to ensure adequate coverage during store hours.
- Foster a positive work environment, providing coaching, support, and motivation.
- Customer Service Excellence:
- Ensure exceptional customer service by leading by example and resolving customer issues or complaints effectively.
- Monitor customer interactions to ensure service standards are met and exceeded.
- Promote customer loyalty through personalized service and by addressing customer needs.
- Sales & Profitability:
- Drive sales by implementing sales strategies, promotions, and upselling techniques.
- Meet or exceed store sales targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Analyze sales data and trends to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels, ensuring that stock is available and well-organized.
- Conduct regular stock audits, manage stock orders, and handle returns or exchanges efficiently.
- Minimize inventory loss and ensure accurate stock records.
- Visual Merchandising:
- Ensure the store is visually appealing and aligned with brand standards.
- Oversee product displays, signage, and promotional materials to drive customer engagement.
- Update store layout based on seasonal trends or promotional events.
- Store Operations:
- Manage store opening and closing procedures, ensuring security and operational compliance.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Financial Management:
- Manage store budgets and expenses, ensuring profitability.
- Handle cash management, including cash deposits, register accuracy, and petty cash.
- Prepare regular reports on sales, expenses, and inventory levels for upper management.
- Marketing & Promotions:
- Execute in-store promotions, sales events, and marketing campaigns.
- Work with the marketing team to enhance brand awareness and increase foot traffic to the store.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail management or a similar role is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of inventory management, visual merchandising, and retail operations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business or a related field is a plus.
Expected salary: R11000 per month
