Job description: Job SummaryPlease take note of the following:Do not submit CVs that do not meet the minimum requirements.A recent payslip must accompany the CV.Salary expectations should be included.A driver’s license and personal vehicle are required.This position is located in Malmesbury.Job PurposeTo operate and maintain the refrigeration plant at the Malmesbury facility.Reporting to:Maintenance ManagerOutput:Planned MaintenancePerform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.Ensure completion of job cards issued.Maintain effective turnaround times for corrective and preventive maintenance.Complete job cards accurately.Return and fill out maintenance check sheets correctly.Unplanned MaintenanceRespond promptly to reported breakdowns.Accurately report downtime details.RefrigerationMonitor and log temperatures, pressures, and levels of the refrigeration plant.Report any irregularities concerning refrigeration plant parameters.Conduct daily inspections of refrigeration equipment, including refrigerated areas, valve stations, piping, condensers, and drip trays.GeneralReport any deviations from policies and procedures.Be available for overtime based on company operational needs.Ensure there is no “rework” of completed jobs.Ensure no leaks in any equipment (oil, water, ammonia, and compressed air).StandbyBe available for standby duty as per the roster.Respond adequately to call-outs.Complete the standby form with accurate information.SHEQRequirementsGrade 12Millwright or Electrician trade test with safe ammonia handling training.Experience3 to 5 years of proven technical refrigeration experience.Functional CompetenciesElectrical maintenancePiping and plumbingRefrigerationMechanical maintenanceOSH ActFood safetyRMV SolutionsRecruiter
