Job description: Job SummaryMain Purpose of the RoleThis position is part of a dynamic sales team focused on identifying and pursuing potential sales opportunities, as well as conducting research on upcoming construction projects.A research role supporting the business development and sales teams, managing the various streams of leads and researching and adding to CRM;
- Project lead generation – adding and updating projects from Barbour ABI & Construction Map/news feeds to Salesforce and researching contractors and projects
- Company leads that come in from Reps or others from site visits or LinkedIn etc
Roles and Responsibilities
- The research role is to take the admin and research off the Business Development team so they can focus on proactive
- Take responsibility for researching the projects leads on Barbour ABI and Construction Map – working through the project criteria to filter out the relevant projects.
- Researching the relevant projects for contractor, sub-contractor names and contacts, establishing the current stage of the project and monitoring the project through Salesforce and Barbour ABI until it is relevant for a salesperson to get involved – visit site, meet the construction team, and sell our products & services. Early engagement with the sales team is key.
- Managing daily updates on new and existing projects from Barbour ABI and adding to Salesforce
- Capturing all company leads that come in from various streams and researching size, financials, contact details and other relevant info and adding to Salesforce for BD to contact
- Being forensic and creative in research to find out as much info as possible
- Daily activities will be 95% in Salesforce & Barbour ABI on our project tracking system.
- Your love for finding correct information and keeping the CRM system up to date is what you thrive on.
RequirementsSkills Required:
- Strong research and telemarketing skills, with the ability to dig deeper into potential leads and opportunities
- Passionate about research, with a keen interest in exploring and uncovering new information.
- Resilient and persistent, able to stay motivated and focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Open-minded and eager to learn the construction process, from planning and approvals to project phases and beyond, in order to effectively add value during calls.
- Capable of building strong relationships and rapport with clients and prospects.
- Skilled in asking intelligent, insightful questions to gather key information and generate valuable leads.
- Able to leverage relationship-building skills to uncover opportunities and drive sales.
- Teamwork
