Job description: Our client in Delmas is looking for an experienced K9 Dog Handler to join their team.Responsibilities
- Train and handle K9 units for various tasks, including security, detection, and search and rescue operations.
- Establish and maintain a strong bond with K9 partner.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of K9 partner at all times.
- Implement training techniques to develop skills and behaviors in K9 unit.
- Maintain and care for K9 units health and grooming needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding K9 units progress and performance.
- Participate in regular training and drills to enhance K9 units skills and abilities.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist in search and rescue operations as needed.
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent (NQF level 4).
- K9/Dog handler training certificate (DH 1-2).
- Any further education in policing/investigations will be highly beneficial.
- Valid Code 8 drivers license.
- Own reliable transport.
Valid documents
- PSIRA Grade C.
- SAPS Competency Certificate.
- PTFC Statement of Results.
Expected salary: R10000 – 14000 per month
