Job description: Job Summary Employer DescriptionOur client specialises in industrial automation products.Job DescriptionYou will be responsible for the following:
- Provide technical sales support, consulting, innovative industrial networking, and technical solutions.
- Travelling to site when necessary.
- Industrial networking, switching, VLAN’s, Fibre, VPN’s and IoT, firewalls and cyber security (mines, factories, water, solar).
- Identify hardware and software issues, provide solutions, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs
(installation, configuration & deployment). * SAT, FAT product testing & technical support cases
- Provide and facilitate technical product training in industrial networking.
- Proficient reporting (case study solutions).
- RMA product testing and troubleshooting.
- Valid SA ID/VISA & passport
- Valid Driver’s License
- Own Car
Qualifications
- BTech diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / IT Networking / Engineering
Skills
- Min 4-5 years’ experience in industrial networking & field support application (control & instrumentation technician experience).
- Knowledge of PLC Programming and SCADA development.
- A+, N+, S+ (CompTIA IT N+)
- C+, C++ knowledge (advantageous).
- Linux (advantageous)
- Solid understanding of & working experience in: Networking, Wi-Fi, IoT (LAN and WAN), switching, VLAN’s, Fibre, VPN’s and IoT.
- CCNA (CISCO) Layer 2 / Layer 3
- Competent in identifying hardware and software issues, provide & record solutions, reporting, troubleshooting, diagnosis, & repairs.
