As a Dispatch Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to ensure products reach the right destination on time and maintain quality standards. You will oversee the export dispatch operations, streamlining international shipment processes to align with regulatory standards and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Export Dispatch Enhancement: Develop and optimize processes for export dispatch operations, focusing on enhancing productivity and minimizing costs.

Precision in Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, ensuring all metrics, reports, and process guidelines are up-to-date and correctly managed.

Internal Operations Oversight: Provide oversight on internal dispatch operations as required, ensuring seamless collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.

Pest Control Management: Establish and document effective pest control procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance and safeguarding product integrity.

Health & Safety Adherence: Vigilantly ensure that all operations comply with Health & Safety policies; regularly update procedures to reflect current standards.

Transporter Coordination: Manage external transporter relationships, ensuring optimal load management and adherence to service-level agreements.

Order Coordination: Strategically coordinate local and export order movements through external transporters, maintaining a seamless logistics flow.

Shipment Tracking & Resolution: Conduct thorough tracking of shipments, costs, and timelines, proactively resolving any issues that arise during transit.

Estimates & Quotations: Develop and present accurate estimates and quotations, maintaining strong relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL), including port agents and transporters.

Trade Compliance: Assure that all export shipments comply with pertinent trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Stock & Warehouse Oversight: Support stock management initiatives and contribute to efficient warehouse oversight, optimizing inventory availability.

Qualifications & Experience:

Educational Background: Possession of Grade 12, plus a relevant degree or a three-year diploma in a related field.

Industry Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in Freight Forwarding, coupled with at least two years’ experience in Pricing or Estimates.

Cross-Border Operations Knowledge: Familiarity with African cross-border operations is considered a beneficial asset for this role.

Regulatory Competence: Strong understanding of incoterms, shipping line processes, port charges, and regulatory requirements within the logistics domain.
- Administrative & Management Skills: Excellent administrative capabilities, with proven experience in people management and time management.
Location: Kempton Park, Gauteng
Expected Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 per month
