Job description: Job Summary KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAs a member of our MSC Family, you are responsible for ensuring that our guests have an unforgettable and pleasant experience. Escalate complaints to your manager to ensure our
guests complaints are handled timely and according to their expectations.Pool Surveillance
- Continuously monitor the pool or whirlpool area to ensure the safety and well-being of guests.
- Do not engage in tasks such as pool setup, cleaning, or arranging deck chairs during duty hours.
- Proactively assess the pool area for potential hazards such as slippery surfaces, unsafe behaviors, or issues related to pool equipment. Ensure that all safety signage is visible and adhered to by guests, such as posted rules or warning signs.
- Any incidents, accidents, or unusual occurrences should be reported promptly to the Supervisor or other appropriate authorities. This includes near-miss situations, guest complaints, or any behavior that could compromise safety.
- Maintain effective communication with other team members to ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Follow the schedule provided by the Supervisor
- Ensure you are available for assigned shifts and provide advance notice to the Supervisor if you need to leave your position.
- Constant Monitoring: As the designated Pool Safety Guard, your primary responsibility is to maintain continuous surveillance of the pool or whirlpool area. You must always remain alert
- and observant to detect any potential safety hazards, such as rough play, unsafe behavior, or any emergency situations that may arise.
- Ensure that all swimmers are adhering to the safety rules, including the use of floatation devices, proper swimming behavior, and observing designated pool depth markers. You should actively monitor both the poolside and water areas to prevent accidents, such as slips, falls, or drownings.
- Be prepared to react swiftly and appropriately in case of an emergency, whether it involves a distressed swimmer, a medical emergency, or another safety incident
QUALIFICATIONS
- STCW Basic Safety Training and all relevant certification and documentation in force at the time of engagement of a new contract.
- Valid certificate of “Water Environment Rescue Operation on Board”.
- Possesses basic understanding of duties in case of a Fecal accident in any swimming pool or whirlpool.
- Maintain a high standard of professional conduct, including effective communication, teamwork, and a commitment to safety and customer service.
