Role Overview
The Artisan Foreman: Plumbing (Grade A) position is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. Key Responsibilities
As an Artisan Foreman: Plumbing (Grade A), your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Supervision & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of personnel to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Resource Management: Efficiently manage equipment, tools, and machinery.
- Job Oversight: Monitor job requests to ensure timely completion and prepare detailed reports.
- Cost Management: Handle the compilation of material lists and management of repairs and maintenance costs.
- Client Liaison: Work closely with clients and government departments to ensure services meet their expectations.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute and supervise preventative maintenance services on government buildings.
- Project Supervision: Oversee various projects ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Quotations & Fault Finding: Prepare quotations for materials and tools, identify plumbing faults and rectify them.
- Work Scheduling: Be prepared to work after hours and during weekends when required.
- Transportation Duties: Transport personnel, tools, and equipment to and from work sites.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive scopes of work and ensure the correct utilization of state resources.
Qualifications and Experience
- Trade Test Certificate: A relevant and recognized trade test certificate is essential.
- Experience: At least five years of post-qualification experience as an artisan.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively at an operational level.
- Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership and management competencies.
- Problem Solving: Innovative problem-solving abilities are crucial for this role.
