Job description: Test Engineer- R&D Integration – Cape TownFull job descriptionLeading Innovator in Digital Ink Manufacturing has a vacancy for a Test Engineer. In this position you will be responsible for conducting tests and evaluations of digital inks in the Integrations department. This role involves working with various printing technologies and ensuring inks perform optimally across different applications. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and approx. 1-5 years relevant experience is required. Based in Cape Town. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree (BEng/BSc) in Mechanical Engineering or similar.1 to 5 years’ experience in a testing or engineering role.Familiarity with printing technologies and materials will be an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in using lab equipment and software for data analysis.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness in conducting tests and documenting results Duties:Test Planning & Execution: Design and execute test plans for evaluating digital inks, including performance, durability, and compatibility.Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain printing and testing equipment used in the print department.Data Analysis: Analyse test results and generate detailed reports, including recommendations for improvements or adjustments.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to ink performance and equipment malfunctions.Collaboration: Work closely with R&D Lab, production, and quality control teams to ensure alignment and address any issues that arise.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of test procedures, results, and any modifications to ensure traceability and compliance with industry standards.
