- Accommodation certificate / Hotel School Diploma is advantageous
- Minimum 2 -3 years experience in a similar position
- Familiar with the duties and responsibilities of the reservations department
- Marriott Bonvoy Elite Program advantageous but not essential
- MARSHA experience advantageous
Duties and responsibilities
- High level of customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Quotations to be done accurately
- Confirmations and pro-forma invoices issued on time and according to procedure and payment schedules
- Follow up and hand over of all details of groups to management team
- Accurately record and process reservations from all channels on to the OPERA system
- Process amendments to reservations & groups
- Manage No Show’s
- Follow up on provisional bookings
- Complete monthly OTA reconciliations such as Bookings.com & Expedia
