Job description: Junior Sous Chef | Cederberg | Luxurious RetreatWe are currently looking for a JUNIOR SOUS CHEF to join the dynamic culinary team of this tranquil retreat nestled in the heart of the Cederberg MountainsIf you’re passionate about creating delicious meals and enjoy working in a stunning natural setting, we invite you to applyAs ideal candidate you will have:
- Certificate/Diploma in culinary arts for a recognized institute/establishment
- At least 8 Years’ experience from restaurant/lodge or hotel environment
- Must be able to work in a remote location
- Passion for good food and willing to learn and grow
- Competent in stock control, stock taking as well as purchases and ordering
- Must be able to mentor junior team members to ensure standards are maintained or exceeded
- Monitor and maintain hygiene standards using HACCP and FIFO protocols and standards
- All-rounder and competent in all areas of the kitchen
- Banqueting experience will be an advantage
- Able to work independently and able to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
Salary Package

- 3 weeks on, one week off rotation
