Taking on the role of an Accounting Migration Consultant (POS24299) at our Somerset West office offers a significant opportunity for junior accounting graduates to grow in the field of accounting migration. As a Data Migration – Bookkeeper, you will assist new and existing customers with complex integrations and migrations of their financial web applications. You will play a crucial role in helping clients understand their migration needs, creating technical specifications, and providing support during the migration activities.
Job Purpose:
We are looking to recruit junior Accounting graduates or individuals with relevant qualifications to facilitate Accounting Migration. This role mainly involves assisting clients with the transfer of their financial data from their existing systems to our advanced financial web applications, ensuring a seamless transition.
Key Responsibilities:

Customer Case Resolution:
- Efficiently solve customer cases through various communication channels including telephone, emails, and online meetings.
- Provide insightful responses and timely solutions to customer inquiries and issues.

Data Migration:
- Execute smooth and error-free data migration of client information from their previous financial system to our newly implemented system.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process.

Client Relationship Building:
- Foster strong client relationships by assisting them with their queries and providing consistent support.
- Develop customer trust by demonstrating thorough knowledge and understanding of our financial systems.

System Training Documentation:
- Regularly update training documents to reflect the latest system functionalities and enhancements.
- Ensure documentation is user-friendly and comprehensive.
- System Training via Zoom:
- Conduct system training sessions via Zoom to equip customer users with basic, intermediate, and advanced system knowledge.
- Ensure clients are confident and efficient in using the financial applications.
Requirements:

Educational Background:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Accounting qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree).
- Professional Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience in a financial/accounting or bookkeeping position.
- Practical experience with financial software such as Pastel, QuickBooks, or similar.
- Proficient in MS Excel and capable of performing advanced functions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong administrative capabilities.
- Outgoing personality with an eagerness to support and train clients.
Salary & Location:
- The position offers a competitive salary ranging from R15,000 to R23,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
- This role is based in Somerset West, Cape Town.
