Minimum Requirements
- Educational Qualification: An appropriate 3-year National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Professional Registration: Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years relevant post-qualification technical (mechanical engineering) experience.
- Licensing: A valid code B driving licence.

Technical Services Management:
- Work in coordination with Engineers, Technologists, and associates in field, workshop, and technical office activities.
- Promote safety in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate existing technical manuals, standard drawings, and procedures to incorporate new technology.
- Ensure quality assurance of technical designs with specifications and make recommendations for approval by the relevant authority.

Remuneration
- Grade A: R 371 253 – R 396 522 per annum
- Grade B: R 419 325 – R 449 079 per annum

- Note on Remuneration:
- Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD) are inclusive of all service benefits or obligations, including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc.
- Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
