- The Procurement officer is responsible for managing the organisations purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of inventory and services.
- Managing of the procurement team.
- Sourcing alternative/new suppliers
- Generating of purchase orders
- Assisting with queries from suppliers, and internal departments
- Managing of suppliers
- Negotiating of prices and lead times with suppliers
- Managing freight forwarders
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- CIPS Level 4
- Mining Industry knowledge (Desired Skills)
- MS Business Central experience (Desired Skills)
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Financial and budget knowledge
- Knowledge and experience on ERP systems
- Supply Chain knowledge
- Inventory replenishment experience
- Freight forwarding experience
- Responsible for meeting deadlines and targets
Expected salary: R50000 per month
