Your job would include:Overseeing the annual IT budget and ensuring cost-effectiveness. Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.To be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the company’s computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.REPORTING STRUCTURE:ICT MANAGER- COO- CEOKEY OUTPUTS KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS KPI * Legal compliance, oversight, drafting, and advisory
- Technology, computer systems, PLC and SCADA IT control systems, access control, and CCTV systems.
- Ensure that the groups used IT software licenses, programs, and systems are legally up to date and registered, and related annual license fees are paid in time.
- Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
- Ensure that maximum firewall and data protection is in place on all group servers and IT systems.
- Manage IT Staff and assist with selection and training of new employees.
- Conduct staff performance appraisals in conjunction with offshore line managers /supervisors.
- With the Training Officer, identify opportunities for IT Team development and training to support the company’s operations current and future.
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain company IT Systems, policies, and procedures.

- Ensure that administrator credentials and passwords/passkeys are only requested and provided on a strictly needed basis, if so, such passwords/passkeys must be safely stored and returned as soon as the relevant task is completed.
- Act in alignment with the company’s user needs and system functionality to contribute to enforcing and promoting organizational policy.
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic, preventative solutions.
- Regularly audit IT Systems and assess the outcomes of such audits.
- Report audit outcomes to Senior Management.
- Preserve the company’s assets, maintain IT asset register, information security, and control structures.
- Prepare the company’s annual IT budget for Senior Management approval.
- Once approved, monitor budget spending along with the Finance Department.
- Manage and maintain the PLC and SCADA systems onboard our operating vessels and assist Technical
Departments on board with required design, upgrades, modification, and implementations. * Monitor daily operation trends, including server hardware, software, and functionality of operating systems.
- Coordinate technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance as needed.
- Select and recommend new/improved/replacement hardware/software, when necessary, considering approved budgets.
- Test, troubleshoot, and modify information systems so that they are always operating efficiently.
- Generate performance reports for operating systems monthly.
- Ensure that all IT activities are performed within the parameters of any applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Manage and maintain software licensing within the legally applicable laws and regulations.
- Evaluate risks and issue recommendations to Senior Management to develop a network disaster recovery
- plan (DRP) and backup procedures. DRP is to be tested to ensure it is working properly.
- Run frequent network and security checks.
- Oversee and manage IT Projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
- Liaise with service providers/vendors for the best possible and cost-effective services.

Requirements ProfilePLC or system Automation experience is required ( To be able to manage the maintenance of our various PLC/software processing control systems as well as on the basic daily IT. ICT Manager, to have a basic understanding of these systems).Qualifications
Grade 12 Minimum
Tertiary Education BS in Computer Science / Information Technology /
Information Systems or related fields MinimumExperience
- Proven working experience as an ICT Manager
- Experience 5 years Required
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems.
- Workable knowledge Required
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
- Expertise in server management and data governance
