- 3 years in end user sales a must
- From the compressor industry will be highly advantageous.
- Mechanically minded.
- Driver’s licence
- Computer literate
- Syspro knowledge is advantageous
Duties
- Plan and prioritize sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales – especially managing personal time and productivity.
- Plan and manage business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy.
- Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems.
- Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
- Record, analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements.
- Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
- Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
- Responsible for New Business Development via agreed upon methods.
- Manage client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle.
- Provide consultative solutions sales process to customers.
- Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information.
- Create, maintain, and provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and funnel information.
- Identify and resolve client concerns.
- Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
- Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to internal/external customers.
- Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
- Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
- Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
- Participate in formulating regional sales strategies.
- Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
- Maintaining the revenue and gross profit of each account ensuring they remain profitable in line with annual targets, exhausting all additional revenue stream opportunities.
- Meeting with clients face to face or via other technologies to provide and educate and promote the business through presentations, and other account analysis.
- Maintain profitability through pricing decisions
