Job description: Site Operations ManagerLocation: Gardens, Cape TownSalary: R25k – R35k per monthAbout the Role:Opportunity available for a Site Operations Manager to streamline new installations for a fast-growing startup that is disrupting the parking industry by going digital.Requirements:Matric and Relevant Tertiary Qualification in IT / Engineering or similar2+ years’ work experience in Operations / Installations / Site Project ManagementStrong understanding of networking principles and Ubuntu OS.Practical experience with hardware installation (cameras, kiosks, CCTV advantageous)Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Need to be neat, reliable and responsible with good problem-solving ability.Willingness to travel extensively for on-site work.Strong interpersonal skills to engage with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.A passion for finding unique solutions to unique problemsResponsibilities:Project Management: Coordinate and oversee installation projects from start to finish, managing timelines and budgets.Subcontractor Management: Obtain quotes, assess quality of work, and build lasting relationships with subcontractors.Supplier Coordination: Source, order, and manage inventory for signs, poles, cameras, kiosks, and other equipment. Managing and maintaining stock.Technical Expertise: Install and troubleshoot hardware and software, with a focus on networking and Ubuntu-based systems.Site Optimization: Strategically place signs, cameras, and kiosks for optimal performance and aesthetics.Client Engagement: Conduct site visits to assess client needs and potential installations.Maintenance: Ensure operational continuity by managing site repairs and replacement parts for any failures.Every install requires its own well thought out design from placement of the license plate reading cameras (front and back), placement of the signage (for awareness, marketing and functional), network layout (managing subcontractors), ensuring site requirements are met (such as a fibre line, working booms etc), commission the install by running and testing the network, tweaking all cameras, setting the config and running our software via ubuntu/linux terminal.
Expected salary: R25000 – 36000 per month
