Job description: REQUIREMENTS
- Matric, and prepress DTP operator experience
- Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop experience COMPULSORY
- Flexographic printing industry experience advantageous
- Ability to carry out repro work (against media specs), layout, image editing and retouching
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, precise, and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Independent worker, highly organised with ability to work under pressure
- Able to work overtime if needed, to meet deadlines
DUTIES
- Prepare files for print
- Take files from graphic designer, affect necessary client changes and roll out various sizes from one design handover
- Artwork resizing, image-retouching, layout, PDF creation, vector retracing of elements etc.
- Daily responsibility for checking the correctness of one’s entire work portfolio
- Carrying out repro work (against media specs), layout, image editing and retouching
- Create digital proofs for client approval, checking for errors in text, images, and layout before printing
- Generate final print-ready files in the required format for the printing press
- Managing multiple assignments daily
- Working strictly according to client brand guidelines and keeping up to date with changes
- Continually working with excellent attention to detail
