Job description: Our client is recruiting for a proactive and experienced Department Manager to join their dynamic team in the retail sector. The ideal candidate should have a strong leadership background in retail, with a focus on maintaining high standards of product display, waste management, and customer service excellence.Candidates that meet the below minimum requirements are invited to apply.Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- Minimum of 5 years experience in retail management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A detail-oriented and proactive approach to tasks
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team to deliver outstanding customer service and operational excellence
- Oversee the waste management process, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and best practices
- Ensure product presentation aligns with company standards, maximizing visual appeal and customer engagement
- Monitor inventory levels and work with the buying team to ensure product availability
- Drive sales targets and implement strategies to increase department profitability
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department in accordance with company policies
- Provide ongoing training and development for team members, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance
