We are on the hunt for a dynamic SHEQ Coordinator to join their team. - Lead and implement SHEQ programs that align with South African regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to maintain top-tier safety standards.
- Oversee and implement equipment and facility audits to ensure legal compliance and safety.
- Deliver SHEQ training, promote health and safety awareness, and advise on PPE selection.
- Monitor and reduce environmental impact, ensuring sustainable practices.
- Maintain accurate SHEQ records and prepare reports for management and regulators.
- Use SHEQSys to streamline safety management processes.
RequirementsWhat we’re looking for:– A Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, or Engineering.– Certification such as SAMTRAC, NEBOSH General Certificate, ISO Auditor certifications, or equivalent qualifications.– Additional qualifications like L3 Incident Investigation, First Aid, Fire Safety, Working at Heights, or Forklift operation will be highly beneficial.– 3-5 years of experience in a SHEQ Coordinator or Officer role, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment.– A deep understanding of South African HSE legislation, ISO standards, and SHEQ management systems, with expertise in risk management, audits, and SHEQ software (experience with SHEQSys is a plus).– A valid driver’s license and own transport.– Detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.– Energetic, positive, and adaptable with a strong work ethic.– Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.– Willingness to travel nationally and internationally for project-based assignments.If you’re ready to make a real difference and take on a pivotal role in SHEQ management, we want to hear from you!
