This role will work with various closely related variables, spanning across different functional areas and require an understanding of organisational processes, procedures, standards and controls.Job PurposeThe purpose of this role is to enable achievement of regional performance targets through managing and overseeing all financial activities required for proactive, effective and efficient P&L management and to do so in adherence to operational and financial framework of practices, processes, standards and controls.Key Accountabilities and OutputsManage Regional Financial ProcessesManage and integrate regional Budgeting and Financial Planning processesManage the regional General LedgerP&L ManagementIncome statementsRegional Risk and ComplianceEnsure that all regional financial activities and transactions happens in accordance with the relevant Financial Framework of practices, processes, procedures, standards and controlsOversee regional Stock Cycle Counts and actively monitor and report on Shrinkage and Stock LossesConduct monthly reconciliationsFinancial Enablement and ControlActively participate in regional financial and operational planning and budgeting processesDrive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systemsEnsure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controlsQualifications and ExperienceBachelors Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7 (Essential)7+ Years experience (Operational Execution)SAPMicrosoft OfficeKey QualitiesCommunicationHigh level written proposals or presentations to the board or key external stakeholders on the strategic direction of the overall businessProblem SolvingProactive identification of interconnected functional problems, determine impact, patterns and trends, identify best fit alternatives, best practice solutions and anticipate future problems.
