Job description: Job Summary The ideal candidate will have strong supplier management skills, extensive experience in inventory management, and a proven ability to negotiate competitive contracts within the ICT and Telecommunications industry.Key Responsibilities: Supplier Identification & Relationship Management
- Research, evaluate, and engage reliable suppliers for equipment, services, and materials.
- Negotiate favorable pricing, contracts, and terms while ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and ensure adherence to agreed standards.
- Maintain ethical procurement practices and ensure compliance with legal and industry requirements.
Operational Procurement Support
- Collaborate with various departments to understand procurement needs and deliver timely solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from order placement to delivery coordination.
- Resolve order discrepancies, supplier issues, and pricing disputes efficiently.
- Ensure proper documentation and system updates for all procurement activities.
Inventory Oversight & Cost Management
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support uninterrupted operations.
- Analyze usage trends to forecast demand and prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- Ensure accurate tracking and recording of inventory movements.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date procurement records, supplier agreements, and purchase orders.
- Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies, industry regulations, and financial controls.
- Prepare detailed procurement reports, cost analyses, and supplier assessments for management review.
- Support audit processes by providing relevant documentation and ensuring transparency.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Minimum National Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience: At least three years of experience in a buyer role within the ICT/Telecommunications industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and procurement software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for reporting and data analysis.
- Understanding of contract management and supplier evaluation techniques.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
