Job description: Multiskilled Shift Supervisor/Drill Rig Operator – PilansburgFull job descriptionAlmin Projects is hiring an experienced Multi-skilled Shift Supervisor/ Drill Rig Operator to join our team in Rustenburg. We mainly operate a fleet of Hydraulic Drill Rigs and are committed to high standards in quality, maintenance, and safety within the mining sector. If you’re a skilled supervisor with experience in opencast mining and want to work in a committed company, we’d like to hear from you.The appointee should:Hold a valid NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or Adult Senior Certificate)Have a of Competent A certificateHave a Legal Liability certificateHave First aid certificateHave a valid Driver’s licenseHave strong interpersonal skillsOperate the Top Hammer Drill Rig efficiently on the drill Block.Perform all required duties on the Drill Rig, ensuring optimal production and functionality.Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant client’s occupational medical centerKey responsibilities:SHEConduct safety inspections and ensure that necessary actions are taken as per audit findings until resolvedConducts planned task observations (PTOs)Risk AssessmentsEnsure compliance to SHE standards, legislations, codes of practice and targetsCommunication and implementation of SHE related interventions and campaigns within the assigned section as per planLiaise with relevant stakeholders regarding safety matters, including safety representatives, team members, Management and Client representatives etc.ProductionMonthly/weekly/daily production plans to be reviewed and maintainedEffective management of resources and logisticsOperational targets, goals and production results to be communicated to operational staffAchieve and improve production performance levelsAchieve production efficiencies and machine utilisation.Reporting on daily performanceMonitor Equipment AvailabilityWork studies to be conducted to identify bottle necks and opportunities for improvement.People ManagementProvide coaching and on-the-job trainingManage performance and development of crew members (applying consequence management — manage poor performance and recognition of good performance) Ensure fair work allocation for team membersInspire team members towards high performance (motivate and coach)Maintain healthy and transparent relationships.AdministrationCommunicate materials and equipment requirementsDocuments completed to expected standardAccurate and timeous completion of daily log sheetsAccurate and timeous production reports.Compliance to all legal requirementsJob Type: Full-timePay: R17 500,00 – R25 000,00 per monthApplication Deadline: 2024/11/08
