Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Management: Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including compliance with statutory regulations and hotel policies.
- Industrial and Employee Relations: Handle all aspects of industrial and employee relations, including dispute resolution, disciplinary procedures, and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Skills Development: Implement and manage skills development programs to enhance employee performance and career growth.
- Employment Equity Management: Ensure the hotel complies with employment equity legislation and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Leadership: Provide strong leadership and management to the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Key Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in human resources management within a 4/5 hotel operation.
- Track Record: Proven record in handling payroll, industrial relations, employee relations, recruitment, skills development, and employment equity management.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capability to lead and inspire a team effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of South African labour laws and current HR best practices.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Sage Payroll and Trac-Tech System.
- Training: Experience in service skills training.
