A renowned international travel and tourism company is looking for a “Tour Accounts Clerk” to join their team on a 6-month fixed term contract basis based in Cape Town / Remote. Requirements:Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable ClerkFamiliarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting proceduresCompetency in MS Office, databases and accounting softwareHands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reportsAccuracy and attention to detailAptitude for numbers & ability to perform filing and record keeping tasksData entry and word processing skillsHigh school degree & associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus Duties and Responsibilities:Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting departmentType accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and recordsPrepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statementsReconcile accounts in a timely mannerDaily enter key data of financial transactions in databaseProvide assistance and support to company personnelResearch, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepanciesInform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areasFunction in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable lawsConstantly update job knowledge
