Flights, Visa, Accommodation and Additional benefits apply.Job Summary:The Lifeguard ensures the safety of all guests in and around the pool area, maintaining high safety standards at all times. This role includes constant monitoring of pool activities, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with pool safety regulations to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.Key Responsibilities: Safety & Emergency ManagementPool Area Monitoring: Ensure constant surveillance of the pool area, promptly identifying and addressing potential hazards.Emergency Response: Act swiftly during emergencies, such as rescues or medical situations, following established safety protocols.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring guests’ safety and well-being.Accident Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and emergency response actions in accordance with company policies.Guest Service & EngagementGuest Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring guest satisfaction.Safety Awareness: Educate guests on pool rules, water safety, and appropriate conduct in the pool area.Complaint Resolution: Address and resolve guest concerns related to pool safety, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.Administrative DutiesRecord Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of incidents, safety inspections, and pool conditions as required.Safety Inspections: Perform regular checks of pool equipment, first aid kits, and facilities, reporting any maintenance issues.Qualifications and Skills: Essential Qualifications:Lifeguard Certification (e.g., American Red Cross, Royal Life Saving Society, or equivalent).CPR and First Aid certification.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lifeguard.Strong knowledge of pool safety standards and emergency procedures.Key Skills:Emergency Response: Proficient in performing rescues, administering first aid, and responding to emergencies.Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with guests and team members.Customer Service: Friendly and professional interaction with guests to enhance their experience.Attention to Detail: Vigilance in monitoring the pool area to identify and address safety risks.Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods and responding swiftly to emergencies.Personal Attributes:Calm Under Pressure: Ability to remain composed during high-stress situations.Responsible: Strong sense of accountability for guests’ safety and well-being.Approachable: Friendly and professional demeanour when interacting with guests.Working Conditions:Environment: Primarily outdoors by the pool, with exposure to varying weather conditions.Shift Work: Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.Physical Demands: Frequent standing, swimming, and responding to emergencies as needed.Deka Minas (Pty) LtdRecruiter
