Job description: Job SummaryDuty Manager – 5-Star Luxury HotelA 5-star hotel in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a passion for hospitality.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the hotel’s daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Provide visible leadership during shifts, addressing guest needs and resolving any issues.
- Supervise and support all departments, maintaining high service standards.
- Monitor and enforce hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Assist in handling guest complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently.
- Support front office operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and VIP guest services.
- Conduct inspections of public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house operations.
- Manage emergency situations, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
- Liaise with department heads to improve overall hotel performance and guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
- South African ID.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a duty manager role within a 5-star hotel.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of front office, housekeeping, and food & beverage operations.
- Experience handling guest complaints and conflict resolution.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
