Job description: Job Description :A travel and tourism business with entities located in South Africa and Zimbabwe is looking for a permanent, hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days work from home) Finance Assistant to support their finance team in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of financial operations. Experience working with multiple entities and currencies would be ideal.Key Responsibilities:Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Process financial transactions using Pastel.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations for customers, suppliers and balance sheet accounts.
Financial reporting & Analysis
- Prepare management reports and budgets.
- Assist in annual financial audits and B-BBEE audits.
Financial Administration
- Handle banking transactions and SARB reporting.
- Oversee statutory reporting, VAT submissions, etc.
Requirements
- Bacherlor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
- Proven experience as a Finance Assistant, Audit Clerk, or similar financial services role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in Pastel Accounting or similar accounting software.
- Advanced Excel skills (spreadsheets, financial functions, data analysis).
