Job description: To motivate, lead and work with a team to perform assigned tasks and duties whilst complying with
applicable policies and procedures.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Monitors staff attendance and reports deficiencies.
- Ensures that all equipment required for set tasks are collected/provided and are in good
working order.
- Oversees on-the-job performance of staff.
- Keeps immediate supervisor well informed on work progress, fuel and material levels, status
of machines, poor performance, incidents or accidents etc.
- Ensures Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations are complied with.
- Addresses minor complaints and queries of the general public, referring complex issues to
his/her supervisor.
- Ensures that all staff return to depots and verifies that all equipment and materials are
returned, accounted for and secured in storerooms.
- Reports on the status of the days work to the supervisor.

Essential Requirements
- Grade 10 or National Technical Certificate (NTC 2) or equivalent.
