Our customers include a wide range of South African national companies.We are currently in the process of recruiting for a Setter MB50.àThis role is to ensure production equipment is in good operating conditions and well maintained. Ensure correct setting of machine. Do fault analysis in case of malfunction or rejects.Responsibilities include:TechnicalIdentify, report and rectify all technical areas of concern on assigned production equipment (machines, moulds, etc.)Have an in-depth understanding ofo Product and its quality criteriao Process (material feeding and drying, injection moulding, reheat stretch blow moulding and injection blow moulding)o General knowledge of all equipment, detailed for assigned equipmento Mould installationo Technical principles and drawings (e.g. assemblies and spare part finding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric)Fault analysis and problem solvingo Independently do fault analysis and problem solving in case of(teamwork as needed)Product quality issuesmould issuesmachine malfunction (mechanic / hydraulic / pneumatic / electric)o Recognize and report problems to Maintenance Manager & Production Manager on other than the assigned equipmentMaintenanceIndependently develop maintenance plans and check lists (teamwork as needed)Ensure maintenance is done at required intervals according to the plansBy yourselfBy service suppliers as agreed by Maintenance Manager & Production ManagerDocument maintenance according to the plansSparesIdentify spares needed for assigned equipmentIn generalAs a preventative measure identified during maintenance checksMachine SettingOptimization of the production process, setting the facilityManagementLiaise with Maintenance Manager & Production Manager (in charge) to ensure machine availability vs. major maintenance intervalsHave an overview what needs to be done and report to Maintenance Manager & Production ManagerGive completion dates and fulfill tasks required by Maintenance Manager & Production ManagerEnsure sound relationships and communication with internal work-related staff (QC, Production, etc.) and external (Bowler Plastics Toolroom, Technical department, suppliers, etc.)Strive for improvement, research and make suggestionsAdministration (job)Log jobs performedAnalyze Defect Register together with Maintenance Manager & Production Manager to improve production resultContact external suppliers as agreed with Maintenance Manager & Production
