Job description: Job Summary Qualifications and experience:
-Candidate must have a B. Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering
-Professional engineering registration Minimum of 4-7 year’s relevant experience, after registration, in the built environment (Hospitals, Clinics, Commercial Buildings, Offices, workshops, stores, etc.).
-Engineering experience in large projects covering relevant divisional requirements.
-Sound knowledge of National Building Regulations requirements and relevant standards applicable on health facilities and systems.
-Knowledge of the following systems and associated mechanical equipment in the Health environment and other will be beneficial – HVAC & R, Vertical Transportation, Building Wet Services, Fire protection and smoke ventilation ; Kitchen equipment, Laundry equipment, Medical gas designs, Vacuum & Compressed air and other related systems.Responsibilities:
-The incumbent will be required to take responsibility for various building services designs on a variety of mechanical building services.
-Provide project information and assistance to Project and Portion Leaders to enable effective project management.
-The candidate must be able to compile project proposals and reports and have good writing skills.
-Prepare project documents to ensure the successful and timely completion of projects.
