– Knowledge of the aviation jargonMain purpose of the Job:
To deal with the daily operational equipment requirement for our network to ensure that the customer allocation is met in line with the maintenance programme and also to ensure that all warehouse equipment and vehicles are serviceable in line with our Health and Safety programme and asset guidelinesEquipment and Serviceability Inspections:
- Check daily on the availability of equipment country wide for all Operational requirements.
- Inspect and determine the effectiveness of the Equipment used in the operation to ensure that all used equipment does not pose any risk of injury to the staff or customers.
- Liaise with our Sales team with customer requirement in order to ensure that the required equipment is moved within the network.
- Complete all assigned checklists with regards to warehouse equipment to evaluate operational readiness in order to manager possible bottlenecks with the processing of cargo inside the warehouse.
- Ensure that the handover process is conducted at branch level in order to identify where damages occur for maintenance planning and cost allocations.
- Allocate unserviceable ULD for maintenance repairs and ensure that the procurement process is followed and to inspect the work conducted against the quote in order to eliminate wasteful expenditure.
- Engage with customers, ground handler and warehouse staff in the event of any identified damages in order to recover the cost for the maintenance repairs on our ULD, thereby reducing the cost and to ensure that our ULD are ready for the benefit of our customer
- To manage all service intervals of our vehicles and warehouse equipment in line with the manufactures guidelines to provide the assets required for our operations and thereby eliminate and/or reduce any disruptions.
Warehouse Readiness:
- Ensure all assigned health and safety checklist are completed and to verify the information in order to perform preventative maintenance for continuous operational functions.
- Analyse current equipment used within the operation against continuous improvements with our targets for enhance productivity and customer and/or stakeholder experience.
- Inspect and determine the readiness of all warehouse spaces within the health and safety ecosystem Ensure compliance through the necessary procurement process of engagement with the Landlord.
- Continuous monitoring of customer, staff and stake holder engagement within our warehouse spaces in order to manage the risk associated and place preventative measures.
Safety Awareness:
- Review training for all staff that forms part of the local safety committee to ensure Regulatory compliance and best practices are conducted.
- Plan awareness campaigns on the safety handling of equipment and working within our warehouse environment to ensure that a safe working environment becomes the responsibility of all staff.
- Compile corrective actions reports for all audits in line with the designated time-line
- Attend review session and information session from all the Regulatory Authorities and communicate any changes and/or expected deviations to the operational staff in your area of responsibility.

R 31 230.84 CTC
