Job description: The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, managing teams, and maintaining high standards across various locations.Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple distribution centers, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with company standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, stock accuracy, and warehouse activities to ensure smooth workflows.
- Team Management & Leadership:
- Provide leadership and support to DC teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Mentor and train staff to enhance their skills and productivity across locations.
- Performance Optimisation:
- Identify inefficiencies in processes and implement solutions to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure that distribution centers meet KPIs related to throughput, order accuracy, and on-time deliveries.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations across all facilities.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Cross-Center Coordination:
- Collaborate with site managers and regional teams to align operations and share best practices.
- Provide interim management and leadership support for any distribution center requiring additional assistance.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Analyze operational data and generate reports to provide insights on performance and areas for improvement.
- Present findings to senior management and recommend actionable strategies.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in distribution center management, with exposure to multi-site operations preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Adaptable and capable of managing dynamic environments and multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
