To deal with the daily operational equipment requirement for the network to ensure that the customer allocation is met in line with the maintenance programme, and to ensure that all warehouse equipment and vehicles are serviceable in line with the Health and Safety programme and asset guidelines for maximum availability to meet customer needs.Minimum Qualifications:
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 6)
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years working experience within a warehouse and maintenance environment.
- Supervisory or managerial roles overseeing maintenance teams.
Technical:
- Knowledge of OSHACT
- Knowledge of service interval and preventive maintenance
- ULD minimum required serviceability
Aviation:
- Understanding the inter-dependencies of all entities within the aviation space
- Knowledge of aviation jargon
Environmental / Other Conditions:
- Available for shift work during operational operating hours.

Primary Responsibilities & DutiesEquipment and Serviceability Inspections:
- Check daily on the availability of equipment countrywide for all operational requirements.
- Inspect and determine the effectiveness of the company’s equipment used in the operation to ensure that all used equipment does not pose any risk of injury to staff or customers.
- Liaise with the Sales team regarding customer requirements to ensure that the required equipment is moved within the network.
- Complete all assigned checklists with regards to warehouse equipment to evaluate operational readiness and manage possible bottlenecks in the processing of cargo inside the warehouse.
- Ensure that the ULD handover process is conducted at the branch level to identify where damages occur for maintenance planning and cost allocations.
- Allocate unserviceable ULD for maintenance repairs, ensure the procurement process is followed, and inspect the work conducted against the quote to eliminate wasteful expenditure.
- Engage with customers, ground handlers, and warehouse staff in the event of any identified damages to recover costs for the maintenance repairs on ULD, reducing costs and ensuring ULD readiness to benefit customers and increase aircraft utilisation.
- Manage all service intervals of vehicles and warehouse equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines to provide the assets required for operations, thereby eliminating and/or reducing disruptions.
Warehouse Readiness:
- Ensure all assigned health and safety checklists are completed and verify the information in order to perform preventative maintenance for continuous operational functions.
- Analyse current equipment used within the operation against continuous improvements with ESG targets to enhance productivity and customer and/or stakeholder experience.
- Inspect and determine the readiness of all warehouse spaces within the health and safety ecosystem, ensuring compliance through the necessary procurement process and engagement with the Landlord.
- Continuously monitor customer, staff, and stakeholder engagement within warehouse spaces to manage risk and implement preventative measures.
Safety Awareness:
- Review training for all staff that forms part of the local safety committee to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Plan awareness campaigns on the safe handling of equipment and working within warehouse environments to ensure that a safe working environment becomes the responsibility of all staff.
- Compile corrective action reports for all audits in line with designated timelines.
- Attend review sessions and information sessions from all Regulatory Authorities and communicate any changes and/or expected deviations to operational staff in your area of responsibility.
Expected salary: R31000 per month
