You will handle event bookings, collaborate on marketing efforts to drive sales, manage the on-site execution of events, and train and supervise the banqueting staff. This role requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to ensuring event success.Key Responsibilities:
- Event Management: Coordinate weddings, conferences, and functions from planning to execution, ensuring high-quality service and attention to detail.
- Bookings & Administration: Handle all event bookings, payments, and related administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Marketing & Promotion: Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to drive sales for banqueting services.
- On-Site Presence: Supervise events on the day, ensuring that all aspects meet the established standards and exceed guest expectations.
- Staff Development: Lead and train the banqueting staff to ensure top-tier service levels are consistently maintained.
- Quality Control: Regularly evaluate systems, processes, and staff performance to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven success in managing banqueting operations, preferably in a luxury or high-end environment.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Opera, and other standard office applications.
- Personal Attributes: Strong multitasking abilities, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Physical Fitness: Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for long periods and working shifts.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of financial management, sales strategies, and quality control processes in a hospitality setting.
