As an Assistant Chef, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. You will work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure that every dish meets our high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, assisting with menu planning, maintaining hygiene standards, cleaning, and supporting the team during busy service times.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef with daily food preparation and cooking.
- Take charge of the kitchen when neccasary
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Support menu development and provide creative input for new dishes.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
- Comply with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff when necessary.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef or Assistant Chef in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Passion for food and a desire to learn and grow in your culinary career.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
