Job description: Job SummaryKey Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety Compliance
- Develop, implement, and manage preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to optimise system performance and ensure cost-effective operation.
- Plan and allocate manpower and resources to efficiently complete maintenance tasks and respond to operational requirements.
- Lead the team in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, and integrate these solutions into the organisation’s operational control systems.
- Drive engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the required specifications.
- Supervise and lead a team of Technicians and Artisans, ensuring maintenance standards are adhered to and the team functions at optimal levels.

- Proven leadership and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent project management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and budget constraints.

Qualifications and Experience:
- BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering or a related qualification.
- A minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a Maintenance Engineer role in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Must have or be willing to obtain a Government Certificate of Competency for factories within 24 months.
- Experience in developing and managing maintenance plans and working with heavy plant equipment.
- Knowledge of maintenance planning and strong technical acumen, with a background in the metals industry preferred.
