Job description: Job SummaryBookkeeperLocation: Parow Industria, Cape TownSalary: R18k – R20k per monthAbout the Role:Opportunity available for a Bookkeeper at a client within the FMCG space who manufactures and distributes a range of snack and confectionary products to major retailers across the country. The incumbent will be responsible for performing administrative functions which will include financial and basic HR admin and will also have an operations component.Requirements:Matric and relevant Tertiary Qualification in Accounting/BookkeepingQuick Books Accounting and Payroll or similarMS Office – Excel essentialMinimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar roleGood analytical and numerical skillsMust be able to multi-task and work with multiple elements of the businessMust be energetic, self-motivated and be able to work under pressurePossess good communication and reporting skillsResponsibilities:FinancialBookkeeping – Processing to Trail Balance (currently on Quickbooks)Capturing bank accounts, doing bank reconciliations & loading paymentsManagement and reconciliation of credit cardsFull function management of Debtors and Creditors (supported by assistant)Preparing and submitting statutory returns, WCA, UIF, VAT, PAYE, SARS eFiling etcAssist with monthly and annual budgets & cash flow projectionsCompile monthly management accounts and reportsEnsuring that administrative and financial controls and standards are well implementedHuman ResourcesManage leave for all employeesAssist with labour matters and work with our independent labour consultants when requiredMaintain Personnel FilesManage PayrollOperationsProcessing of daily, weekly and monthly sales reports when neededManage daily reconciliation of invoices and cash paymentsAssist Management with operations administrative support where neededAdministration of property companies and trust – one or two days per monthMegan Förg ConsultingRecruiter
