Job description: Job Summary Key Responsibilities:
- Record and manage financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare financial statements, manage tax compliance, and oversee regulatory filings.
- Conduct financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making and provide advisory support to management.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting activities, including preparing budgets for fundraising and tracking donor tranches.
- Oversee audits, monitor expenses, and manage the organization’s financial planning efforts.
- Engage with donors and sub-grantees, ensure compliance with funding requirements, and support internal capacity building within the team.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a finance and administration team, ensuring efficient reconciliations and robust financial processes.
Minimum Requirements & Experience:
- Qualifications: Minimum of an Accounting degree with completed SAICA articles.
- Experience: At least 8-10 years in finance, with 5+ years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience with tax and regulatory compliance, budgeting, financial analysis, auditing, and expense management.
- Familiarity with NPO or NGO operations is advantageous.
