A leading manufacturing company is looking for a skilled Accountant to join their dynamic finance team.As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
- Creditors Management: Prepare reconciliations and assist with the full creditors function.
- Debtors Management: Process invoices and assist with the monthly recovery of outstanding amounts.
- Month-End Process: Oversee and manage month-end closing procedures.
- Fixed Asset Management: Take full responsibility for managing fixed assets.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare for year-end audits and compile the necessary audit files.
- Costing & Cost Control: Handle costing activities and ensure effective cost control.
- Management Accounts: Prepare monthly management accounts for review.
- Depreciation Calculation: Calculate and record depreciation on assets.
- Provisions & Accruals: Manage provisions and accruals as part of financial reporting.
- Journal Entries: Process various journals, including payroll-related entries.
- Payments & Requisitions: Prepare payment lists and requisitions as needed.
- Tax Returns: Submit income tax and VAT returns and liaise with SARS to resolve any tax-related issues.
- Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform any additional tasks as required.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed Bcom in Finance
Completed SAIPA articles would be beneficial
Minimum of 2 years’ post article experience
