Job description: Job Summary The Unit Manager will oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing care by ensuring adherence to professional and ethical standards. This role includes monitoring and ensuring that nursing services are provided effectively within a multidisciplinary quality assurance team. Additionally, the Unit Manager will be responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, and training initiatives, while managing all departmental costs. Inherent Requirements A relevant nursing qualification in Advanced Midwifery. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse. Adherence to the SANC code of conduct for Registered Nurses and compliance with applicable healthcare legislation. A recognized management qualification. At least 2 years of experience as a Unit Manager in a private hospital setting. Proven leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills. Experience in clinical leadership.
