Job description: Procurement Manager needed in Pretoria Moot area for a Wholesale & Retail Packaging Industry
Salary: R30 000 (neg)Minimum requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement, preferably in the packaging industry on a senior level.
- Tertiary qualification in supply chain management is an advantage.
- Strong administrative, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Solid knowledge of the various modules of procurement software, with Sage experience as an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communicator with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Supervise and guide buyers
- Lead the procurement team towards maximum performance and efficiency.
- Manage Stock Levels of all Pretoria branches .
- Negotiate with suppliers for better prices, settlement discounts and trade terms.
- Monitor market trends, pricing and risks to enhance procurement decision-making.
- Identify products that can set us ahead in a competitive market.
- Ensure product variety at competitive prices for enhanced customer satisfaction.
- Source reliable suppliers and quality products.
- Facilitate interaction between the buyers and sales departments regarding stock enquiries.
- Take responsibility for stock takes.
- Liaise with Senior Management
