Type: PermanentKontak Recruitment Agency is assisting a leading retail furniture manufacturer in Cape Town to recruit a Group Visual Merchandiser for its homeware division. This role involves conceptualizing and implementing captivating layouts and displays to enhance customer experience and boost sales.Responsibilities:Conceptualize, design, and implement layouts for homeware categories (carpets, linens, bathrooms, etc.).
Develop creative ideas and ensure alignment with the brand’s vision.
Oversee costing, production, and installation of displays, including signage.
Prepare SketchUp models for installation approvals.
Collaborate on shop fittings and new store concepts using research and data.
Manage budgets for installations with the Project Manager.
Train in-store Visual Merchandisers and refine concepts through workshops.
Coordinate rollout plans and provide monthly feedback through virtual or on-site reviews.
Compile the annual Homeware Lookbook and guidelines.
Travel nationally to retail stores for revamps or installations.
Requirements:Diploma in Interior Décor or Design (Interior Design preferred).
5+ years in visual merchandising or related roles.
Proficient in design software (e.g., SketchUp).
Valid driver’s license, reliable transport, and willingness to travel.
Strong creative, problem-solving, and administrative skills.
