Job description: General Manager – Cape TownFull job description· Opening & Closing of Restaurant- perform all duties on checklist and ensure waiters duties are done· Daily EFT Sheet, Daily Cash-ups of waitrons and Final Cash-up of POS system· Smooth service – breakfast, lunch & dinner. Ensure that waiters are following steps of service, check on guest and ensure that food and beverage is up to standard· Reservations and follow up calls· First Aid Kit- ensure that it contains all necessary requirements· Crockery & Cutlery Counts and imputing of invoices onto count sheet· Ensure Staff notices are put up and· Training of FOH Staff- upselling, etiquette, steps of service, F&B knowledge· Daily waiters meeting, use clipboard method and educate staff on company philosophy· Allocating waiters sections for their shift and informing staff of any menu changes and out of stock items.· Ensuring staff always looks presentable and in full uniform when coming on shift and has all require tools including floatStore Ops· Completing management tool report daily· Payroll and Rosters, Shifting of FOH Staff and managers· Beverage stock take· New employees should be dealt with and trained by you.· Month end procedures – Gaap log, Staff update, cost of sales, month end stock take· It is your responsibility to read your manual and ensure that you understand the workings of your store and the policies and procedures to follow. The onus is on you to communicate with Ops and HR should the system not be working. All documents sent to HR/HO must be checked off by you and should come from your email account.· Accountable for financials and budgets of the store· Communicate final menu changes to Media department and any info that is required for online purposes.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: R20 000,00 – R25 000,00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
