Key Requirements
A successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: Possession of a minimum N2 certification in a mechanical-related field.
- Trade Proficiency: A recognized trade test qualification as a Turner or Toolmaker.
- Experience: At least five years of practical experience in a maintenance machine shop or tool room, demonstrating significant capability and understanding of machine operations.
Key Responsibilities
The role of CNC & Machine Shop Charge-Hand is pivotal to the seamless functioning of our operations. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance Management: Implement and oversee the execution of planned maintenance schedules, ensuring meticulous adherence and providing assistance to artisans when necessary.
- Rapid Response to Breakdowns: Swiftly attending to mechanical breakdowns and implementing effective repair solutions, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuity in operations.
- Team Leadership: Efficiently manage and guide the CNC and machine shop team, offering support to the factory artisans and promoting a cohesive work environment.
- Accurate Documentation: Maintain precise records of all performed tasks on job cards and planned maintenance schedules, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Defect Reporting: Communicate all significant defects and unresolved issues to the Section Foreman or the Engineering Manager, facilitating prompt corrective actions.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct thorough safety inspections on equipment and plant machinery as per instructions, maintaining high safety standards.
- Equipment Installation and Modification: Execute the installation and modification tasks for equipment and plant as directed, expanding operational capabilities and efficiency.
- Fulfillment of Ad-hoc Requests: Undertake reasonable tasks assigned by the Section Foreman or the Engineering Manager to support team objectives.
- Standby Coverage and Overtime: Be available for standby duties and willing to work overtime as required to meet operational demands.
